What if my repo is private?

Invite septimlabs-code as a read-only collaborator on GitHub before submitting. We accept the invite, read the codebase, and remove ourselves within 48 hours of delivering the verdict. We do not fork, clone to a persistent location, or store any of your code after the review window closes.

What counts as “one question”?

One focused concern: “Is this auth layer safe to hand to a contractor?” or “Where is this most likely to break under 10x load?” or “What would a senior engineer flag before we raise a seed round?” Multi-part questions (“plus also review the DB schema and the API surface”) get scoped back to the strongest single thread. The written verdict covers the three highest-leverage findings against your question — not an exhaustive audit.

What’s the refund policy?

If we deliver the verdict and you believe it contains fewer than three substantive findings, email us within 48 hours of delivery and we’ll refund in full. No questions, no process. If we cannot complete the review within 24 hours of confirmed submission (e.g., repo access fails and you can’t resolve it), we cancel and refund immediately. We do not refund because you disliked the verdict’s conclusions.

Can I upgrade to a Session or Rescue after?

Yes. If the verdict surfaces something you want to dig into live, you can book a Septim Session ($149) and the Sift verdict becomes the pre-read. The Session founder has already seen your codebase — you’re not starting cold. There is no formal upgrade credit; they are separate purchases. Most buyers who upgrade do it within a week of receiving the verdict.

How do you deliver the verdict?

By email to the address you submit in the slot-reservation form, as a Markdown document (readable as plain text in any email client) within 24 hours of submission confirmation. No PDF, no Notion link, no Loom. The document is yours to share, paste into your PRD, forward to your CTO, or print. We do not publish it.
